Young people are more aware of the world's challenges than any generation before them. But awareness without agency and skills isn’t enough. Cool.org gives children and young people the hope that change is possible and the tools to act.
Philanthropic support makes this possible, at scale.
Children and young people are growing up in a world that their parents could not have imagined. A world shaped by increasing complexity and uncertainty, and whilst the challenges aren’t new, the scale young people face them at is.
Many understand the challenges of climate disruption, misinformation, rising cost of living, and growing mental health pressures.
Too few feel equipped to navigate them, growing up without the hope, confidence, critical thinking, and sense of agency needed to help shape what comes next.
The good news is that the future isn’t fixed. Helping young people move from awareness to agency and action is how we create lasting change.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Nelson Mandela
Since 2008, Cool.org has built a community of educators, parents, subject-matter experts, values-aligned partners, and philanthropic supporters that believe that young people deserve education that meets the realities of today’s world.
Supported by our Hope & Act Framework, we design resources around today’s most urgent issues. Each ensures children and young people have access to an education that helps them navigate our uncertain, everchanging world.

Critical and creative thinking, so children and young people are better able to navigate complexity rather than be consumed by it.
Confidence and agency, to encourage action, engagement, and genuine belief that they can positively impact the big issues.
Resilience and belonging, so that they know that regardless of the challenge, they are not alone.
Hope that’s grounded in evidence and real-world examples, not blind optimism.

Most funding ends when the project does. But your investment in the futures of young people through Cool.org lasts long after the resources have been created, and so does your impact.
Philanthropic support enables Cool.org to create and scale learning experiences that wouldn’t otherwise exist. Each one ensures that children and young people have access to high-quality, evidence-based learning resources regardless of their background, postcode, or school.
By investing in the creation of these resources, you’re helping to build the confidence, agency, and skills children and young people need to navigate our increasingly complex world. This support helps young people dream of the futures they can create, not just the ones they will inherit.
These aren’t one-off programs. Once created, Cool.org resources are downloaded, taught, and returned to by Australian educators year after year. A single resource reaches new learners, and shapes the knowledge, confidence, and agency of children and young people across its lifetime.
This compounding effect is what makes your philanthropic support with Cool.org different. The impact of your investment doesn’t fade when the funding does, it grows.
Independent research across our educator network found that Cool.org resources make a measurable difference to the young people they reach:
of educators reported improved knowledge, confidence and skills in young people
observed positive changes in attitudes and behaviours
saw young people take meaningful action on issues that matter to them
reported young people feeling more hopeful about the future
Today, more than 220,000 educators and 24,000 parents and carers across Australia use and trust Cool.org's learning experiences.
The challenges facing today’s children and young people are very real. And so is their potential to positively impact them. Together, we can continue to make a lasting impact for our young people, our communities, and our world.
If you believe every young person deserves an education that prepares them for the world they're actually living in, we'd like to talk.
